Damian comes down with Fifth Disease!

Thursday, Jan 8
After 3 days of intermittent fever, headache, and nausea, Damian went to the pediatrician. There, he had a flushed "slapped cheek" appearance, perhaps indicative of so-called "Fifth Disease" (parvovirus B19)

Saturday, Jan 10
Damian feels better and has no fever this morning. But by mid-morning he had developed a maculo-papular/petechial exanthem on his trunk and extremities, most prominent on his forearms and proximal thighs. This seems most consistent with fifth disease...

Sunday, Jan 11
Rash darker and more pronounced, spares the back and abdomen but present on chest, buttocks, arms and legs. Palms and soles flushed.
