The highlight (for Damian) was going ice-skating on the Mall at every possible opportunity. He went from mostly hands-and-knees on the ice to skating upright around the rink.
We spent lots of time at the American Museum of Natural History ogling the Hope Diamond and other natural treasures. We also visited an exhibit on Pompeii at the National Gallery, featuring sculptures of Nero and other dastardly Roman emperors that Damian wrote about for his recent history paper.
Rhianon had good interviews for the post-bac programs at Johns Hopkins and Bryn Mawr before and after our weekend in D.C.
